Money in Motion

Money in Motion – Thursday evenings 5:30-8:30 p.m.

Money in Motion class is a short financial literacy program that includes: The keys to getting ahead, developing a budget to get what you want, financial tools to help you, how credit can enhance your life, your credit score – a number to know, what you need to know about contracts, consumer laws to protect you, what to do when things go wrong.

Everyone is welcome to take this class, as well as those who want to take it for bankruptcy purposes as CCCS of the Black Hills is approved to issue certificates in compliance with the Bankruptcy Code. Approval does not endorse or assure the quality of an Agency’s service – Executive Office of the US Trustees.

Credit When Credit is Due (2 part series)

Dates: May 7 & June 4(Wednesday Evening)

Time: 6:00 to 9:00 p.m.
Chapters 1-6 includes:
What you need to know to get along, How to Budget, How to Decide if You Should Borrow or Not, How to Get Through the Credit Granting Process, How to Determine if You are Getting the Deal You Have Bargained For, Auto Loans and Leases.

Dates: May 14 & June 11 (Wednesday evening)

Time: 6:00 to 9:00 p.m.
Chapters 7-12 includes:
Home Sweet Home - the Largest Debt You are Likely to Ever Have, Credit Cards and Other Loans, How to Know When You Have a Problem, Dealing with Delinquency and Bill Collectors, Bankruptcy, Building and Rebuilding Your Credit.

Make Your Move…. A Guide to Home Ownership

Dates: May 28 & June 25 (Wednesday evening)

Time: 6:00 to 9:00 p.m.
Chapters 6-9 includes:
Finalizing the loan with home inspections, Appraisals, title insurance, etc., The Loan is approved – Let’s Close!, You are a homeowner! What now?, Watch out for predators – avoiding predatory lending practices, and What you can do if you are a victim of them.
