As a non-profit 501(c)(3) agency, we receive a portion from
education programs, community support, program fees, housing grants,
and funding from local
and national creditors who participate in the
Debt Management Plans (DMP). Since creditors have a financial interest
in getting paid, most are willing to make a contribution to help
fund our agency. These voluntary contributions are usually calculated
as a percentage of the payments you, the client, make through your
DMP and range from 0 to 15% of each payment received.
However, your accounts with all your creditors are always credited
with 100% of the amount you pay through us and CCCS/BH works
with all your creditors regardless of whether they contribute
to our agency.
As a United Way agency in Rapid City, Sturgis and Pierre, we
receive additional community funding for our agency through United
Way of the Black Hills, and United Way of Pierre/Fort Pierre
